Ard na nOilean: Annagry, Donegal

    
  Impression -4-   The „Rosses is an area of outstanding natural beauty situated on the west of Donegal, where hundreds of kilometres of rugged coastline are interspersed with towering cliffs, rocky shores and lonely beaches. Some of which are of unparalleled beauty.
   
   
       
  From the first to the last day the design and execution of the work on this house has been influenced by the owner himself and reflects his artistic nature. You will be happy to spend time in and around the house soaking up its relaxing atmosphere. Your day begins sitting at the breakfast table looking towards the Atlantic ocean and ends sitting at an open turf fire watching the sunset.   Impression -5-
     
  This house is situated in quite unique surroundings. The landward sides of the house are enclosed by sheltering rock- faces giving the back garden complete privacy.  
     
  The remainder of the house has spectacular views beginning with the strand, to which you have direct access. There the children can fish for crabs from the small rock pools, left by the retreating tide and adults can collect cockles and mussels for the evening meal.  
 
       
  Impression -6-   Annagry village which is only a 7 minute walk and has three pubs and two restaurants. One of which is the renowned Killindarragh House “Danny Minnie´s”. Some of the regions most famous artists, such as Clannad, Enya and Altan began their careers playing in the traditional pubs which define the area. Most of which have traditional music sessions, some organised, some simply spontaneous.
   
     
   

Shopping:
    In the village you will find a supermarket, a chemist, a postoffice, a take-away and a small shop (Video- , DVD rental)
     
    Dungloe is about 12 km from Annagry and offers a larger range of shopping possibilities: Supermarkets (Supervalue, Aldi), clothing, gift shops etc…
     
    Letterkenny city is about 38km from Annagry. Anything you can’t get in Dungloe, you will find there.
